Title

Azincourt Uranium recently announced a joint venture with Fission Uranium to explore Patterson Lake (PLN) – an exciting property with historical exploration data immediately adjacent to PLS and a mere 5.7 km north of Fission Uranium’s major high grade discovery. So you know we’ve got a highly prospective project lined up. However, a great project won’t go far without the right team in place. As an investor or potential investor you need to know who the key players at Azincourt are and what they bring to the company.

Ted O’Connor – CEO. My previous post covered my background in detail. If you’ve not had a chance to read through it then the elevator pitch version is that I spent the last nineteen years with Cameco leading the international team focused on identifying and developing high growth uranium projects. This included finding the right juniors to partner with, setting up and managing those relationships to maximize the success of the project.

Ian Stalker – Director. Some of you may remember Ian Stalker as the former CEO of UraMin Inc. (“UraMin”), the London and Toronto listed public uranium company that was acquired by Areva for US$2.5 billion in August 2007. Prior to joining UraMin, he was a Vice President of Gold Fields Ltd., which at one point was the world’s fourth largest gold producer.

Ian Stalker has more than 30 years of development and operational mining experience in countries across the world. With an enviable hands-on approach, he worked his way up from operational roles early on in his career to executive positions with some of the largest mining companies in the world.

Dev Randhawa – Director. Dev Randhawa is one of the best-known senior executives in the uranium exploration space and brings to Azincourt a long, sustained track record of success. He is the founding chairman and CEO of Azincourt’s joint venture partner, Fission Uranium, that will be the Operator at the Patterson Lake (PLN) property.  Prior to launching Fission Uranium, Dev Randhawa was the founding CEO of Fission Energy, which made two major discoveries in Canada’s Athabasca Basin and was named a Top 50 TSX-V company in 2011 based on stock performance.

Before the launch of Fission Energy in 2007, Dev Randhawa founded Strathmore minerals – a uranium exploration company that he built into a $430 million cap before spinning out Fission Energy.  Dev Randhawa brings to Azincourt an unrivalled knowledge of the uranium junior sector, the energy markets and the ability to deliver solid shareholder value and growth.
